I am finishing my second month in three years in Portsmouth. I have come to the Waters Edge for breakfast or lunch every day. They are warmly hospitable, as seems everyone in Dominica. This is the only public restaurant that has American and European sparkling cleanliness and food handling practices that I have encountered. The place could be Swiss. The food is all fresh and delicious and local. Wonderful ice cream. My home away from home in Dominica. The staff are wonderful. I love this place!

It's bright, airy, clean, and air conditioned. It has a varied breakfast and lunch menu. The staff is friendly.
I had a rib plate, with potato, greens, and potato salad. All were very good. They also had a variety of baked goods and ice cream, but I was too full to try any!
